Manchester Road will be open for the children during bad weather. During the morning a decision will be made about whether school will remain open – This will be dependent upon how many staff manage to make the journey to school to enable us to safeguard the children.
The website and Twitter will be regularly updated.

Family Time and More!!

As from Monday 27th June we will be opening the doors at 8.45am to welcome family into school.

This will be a great chance for parents to talk to the staff, and have a look what the children are up to 🙂 More details are in the June newsletter below!

Plans for The New Extension

The planning for the new extension to school has been submitted along with a funding request. We are hoping that sometime during June we will hear whether the build will be able to go ahead.

This is a really exciting prospect for Manchester Road, as it will bring the whole community together, and allow the school to move forward in its practice even quicker!

The plans include new toilets and cloakrooms for the infants, a new staff room, an inclusion classroom, a corridor to link our buildings, new office space and 2 intervention rooms.

The images and floor plans below give a great indication of what the school will look like, and how the new space will be used. You’ll also notice that the build will allow us to demolish the older 50’s parts of the building and the mobile classrooms currently on the junior playground.

We have a community drop in on Tuesday 10th May form 7-8pm, and a parents drop in from 6-7pm on Thursday 12th May. Everyone is more than welcome to come along!
