Our attendance has started to increase and last week was 97%. The children are aiming for the baking afternoon and this is now 6 steps away. Let’s see if we can make it before the end of the term!
In English, we have been busy with our poetry. We rehearsed and performed a range of them from Michael Rosen as well as use our questioning skills to put ourselves into the role of the poem characters. We ended the week by writing our own focused on I AM ANGRY. They made me laugh as I marked them with a range of rhyming and alliteration.
In Maths, we moved onto symmetry. We found vertical and horizontal lines before discussing regular and irregular polygons. We will be starting our next unit of measurement on Monday where we will develop our knowledge of capacity, temperature including scales.
In SRE, we have begun to look at how females and male animals are similar and different. We focused on Mogsy the cat and how she feeds her babies.
In P.E, we have a dance teacher for this term and thoroughly enjoyed learning new ways to travel. We learnt some new movements and performed them to African music.
Well done to our Learning Hero. Awarded for great enthusiasm in dance and English.
Well done to our Championship Point winners!
Our winning house was Self-Belief!
