Safeguarding is a priority at Manchester Road, and we have many services which are available to families, children and young people. Some of these services are below:

From 21st January 2019 Manchester Road Primary Academy is joining Tameside Local Authority in implementing a new project that will run jointly between all schools and Greater Manchester Police. This project is called Operation Encompass.  It aims to support children who are affected by domestic abuse, by ensuring that school safeguarding staff are informed, allowing school to support the child or children as appropriate. Operation Encompass already runs in many other areas of the country with great success.

If you have any questions about this project, please do not hesitate to contact school and speak to Mrs Taylor(DSL), Miss Leah(DDSL) or Mrs Smith(DDSL).
