What a fabulous week we have had with some amazing learning. The children really are back into the swing of things and we are so impressed with their attitudes towards each other and their work.
In English, we built up using some fantastic ambitious adjectives to use in a descriptive poem as well as looking at a variety of poetic techniques. The children enjoyed being able to use rhyme and figurative language and the poems that they have produced are just tremendous. We will post some examples of their work on teams and on twitter next week so that you can see how fantastic they are. In our maths, we are still looking at place value and have been rounding numbers up to a million. This has been a tricky concept but the children have really shown resilience and perservered.
Our topic sessions have continued to delve into Ancient Greece and this week, we have investigate landscape and the impact this has had on modern life.
PE continues to be on a Wednesday - the children are to come to school in their PE kit. If it is a rainy or cold day then they must bring coats with them and can bring a cardigan or jumper to wear inside.
