This week we began a new topic, Christmas! We received a special gift of the book Dear Santa and we have been learning about the book. We made a story map and are learning to retell the story map. In Maths we have been counting Christmas objects and saying how many there are. We have also learnt the sound ‘i’ in phonics and listening for the initial sound in words.

Home Learning

At home with your Little Owl you can:

*See if they can hear the initial sound in words. E.g d...dog.

*talk about how we celebrate Christmas

Learning Hero

Each week we have a BLP Learning Hero, our Learning Hero is a child who has shown one or more of our 4 R learning powers (reciprocity, resilience, resourcefulness, reflectiveness).

This weeks Learning Heroes are Hollie (AM) and Terrence (PM).

Elsie, Evie, Zak and Hollie have completed 3 challenges this week to get a certificate! Well done for fantastic independent learning.
