Our attendance for last week was 98%. This needs to improve!!  We had 4 late marks.

The children have worked so hard this week. We have completed so many assessments and they have shown great determination in all of these. Well done to everyone in 3SS!

I have updated the book bands on Active Learn to reflect these so please ensure your child logs on to check out what is new.

In Maths, we started our new unit on multiplication and division. So far, we have recapped on the 3 and 4 times table. We have looked at making groups of 3 and 4 before dividing by this amount. We have also been developing our rapid recall in this area and Times Table Rockstars will help the children in this area.

In French, we have been busy learning the colours and how to say these properly. Next week we will continue with this and Elmer will become our focus.

In R.E, we started our new unit on Hinduism. We learnt about the importance of a shrine and where these are kept if they are at home.

We turned into Scientists in our most recent Science lesson. We investigated the different types of soil to see their different textures We had great fun and had some fantastic discussions.

Key information:

Swimming is EVERY MONDAY. PLEASE ensure that your child's clothing is labelled and they are given a bag to carry this in. We have had lots of items go missing and this would help us greatly.

P.E is EVERY WEDNESDAY. Again please ensure a full kit is provided each week. This can remain in school and children can take it home at the end of term.

Home Learning is given out on Wednesdays/Thursdays. Children are expected to complete this by the following Monday. If this is not completed then they will be expected to attend home work club.

Reading books are changed as much as possible throughout the week. The more we read the better writers we will become so we encourage as much as possible but expect at least a book to be changed once a week.
