Hello everyone!
What a brilliant week! The children have worked so hard and perservered with some really tricky learning.
In English, we have been building up to writing our myths by creating a Greek hero, describing various settings, planning our stories using a flow spray diagram. The children had a go at writing a full mythical story and next week we will begin to break this down section by section to create a story that is spectacular!
In maths, we have focused on column subtraction up to 5 digits. The children found this quite challenging but used their resilience to work through it and have now mastered the method.
In art, we practised using skills to create our clay pots out of plasticine. The children learnt how to roll coils, build these up to create a shape like the vase they have designed and pinch to cement it together. We can't wait to get going with them next week.
PE is on a Wednesday - the children are to come to school in their PE kit.
