We have had another busy week of learning. In The Snail and the Whale, we discovered that the snail decided to go with the whale and we have seen her first two destinations. We have discussed what she saw, gathering vocabulary to help us write a diary in the role of the snail. We also looked at past and present tenses to help us use the correct tense for our diary entry. This week we wrote two diary entries and incorporated all the grammar and punctuation elements that we have learnt. They were fantastic diary entries!
In Maths, we have continued building our understanding of addition, fact families and number bonds. We learnt the importance of being systematic when writing our number bonds so that we do not miss any. In Science, we were excited to plant seeds and we are looking forward to them growing. Our experiment was to see what plants need to grow, we placed one in the dark, one with no soil and one without water. In DT, we made our healthy cereal bars choosing which ingredients to add. We then tasted them and evaluated what worked and what we would change if we made them again.
