Hi everyone,
This week year 5 returned back to school after two weeks of online learning. Thank you to all the children who really engaged with the live sessions and with their assignments! We were very impressed with the quality of the work that was submitted.
We have been continuing to use the book 'Alex Rider: Stormbreaker' in our English lessons. We have read up to chapter 9 and have started to look at writing a letter as Alex Rider to MI6. In maths, we have consolidated our learning on factors and moved onto multiplying by 10 and 100. The children have shown excellent understanding during maths lessons.
Our new science topic is forces. We have looked at what forces are and looked at Isaac Newton and his theory of gravity. In IT we have looked at how to create a strong password.
PE is on a Thursday so can the children attend school in their PE kits on this day.

Homework is posted on teams every Friday - work should uploaded onto teams. There is a reading, spelling and an maths task to complete. If children are finding the blue tricky there is also a yellow task to complete.
