Hi all!
Another amazing week! In English, we have been building up to writing a persuasive piece all about visiting their enchanted forest. We have used a variety of techniques to engage the reader and used emotive language, rhetorical questions and figurative phrases to entice someone to come there. In maths, the children have been continuing with fractions and this week, they have focused on different ways to solve fractions of amounts and then multiplying fractions too. Although they found it tricky, they were determined to understand it and now feel confident.
In topic, the children completed their diary entries in the perspective of an Anglo Saxon travelling across the North Sea and they also investigated the Seven Kingdoms further and compared names of places to the Saxon names.
It was so lovely to speak with you all this week on parents evening and we are really pleased with how all the children have settled back into a good learning routine!
PE is on a Wednesday so can the children attend school in their PE kits on this day.
