The children have had a very busy and exciting week.
In English the children have been looking at formal letters and have started to draft write their letter of application to be a Roman Soldier. They have been working hard to include subordination in their writing and their drafts are making excellent progress. They should be ready to write next week!
In maths the children have been looking at area of shapes. The children have been counting squares to find area and then using their times tables to be more efficient with finding the area. We then moved on to making different shapes with the same area.
In science we have started our new topic of human digestion. This week we were looking at the different types of teeth for an omnivore, herbivore and carnivore.
This week in PSHE the children discussed what to do in a tough situation that they could experience in their friendships.
It was also very exciting to see everyone dressed up for World Book Day! The children became authors and wrote their own short story about a door. We also had a shared read with year 2CL. It was lovely of the year 2 to share their fantastic books with us.
The children were also given book tokens to buy a new book. Go to https://www.worldbookday.com/ to find out which books are a £1 so will be free with a token!
