10 December 2020
We have had another great week of learning. In The Snail and the Whale, we have finished our book and have completed retelling the story using a narrative map and actions to help us remember and write the key points of the story. We have worked hard to include all that we have learnt this half term, such as, using past tense, exclamation marks and adjectives.
In Maths, we have started subtraction. We have used concrete equipment and number lines to help us work out subtraction number sentences and word questions. In Art, we have practised our sketching skills and used our new skills to produce a surprise! In science, we enjoyed a practical lesson examining plants and naming the parts of plants. We also, discovered that trees are evergreen or deciduous. We also had a lovely virtual visit from Santa, the children were so excited to talk to him.
