December Challenge – The Spoonie Mummy

Hi all,

This week we have been very busy with lots of science investigations all about forces. Friday was Christmas jumper day and craft day where the children have made calendars and christmas cards. They look amazing and they children have showed so much resilience to get them completed! We have also been practising our Christmas song - 'Merry Christmas everyone'.

In maths we have been diving by 10, 100 and 1000. The children have done really well during these sessions.

In English, we have began to look at writing an explanation text for our own gadget. We have looked at examples of explanation texts and then designed our own gadgets labelling them using technical language.

We have been continuing to look at forces in our science lessons. This week alone, we have looked at gears, investigated friction using ramps made of different materials and have made pulleys.
