We have had a great week this week for Black History Awareness Month. We read Lila and the Secret of the Rain which was set in Kenya. The children really empathised with the charactered and cheered out loud when it finally rained.
We learnt all about Will Smith and even, impressively, rapped the theme tune to his show The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
We created some fantastic graffiti style art work.
We also talked about migration and the forced migration of the people of Africa many years ago.
Parts for the Christmas play have been cast. If your child has been given a script please practise over the holidays.
